Description

Flaky biscuits stuffed with roast beef and cheese, baked until golden, and served with a warm au jus dipping sauce for a fun twist on the classic French dip sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 8 slices deli roast beef
  • 8 slices provolone or Swiss cheese
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 packet au jus mix
  • 3 cups water (for au jus)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate biscuit dough into individual biscuits and flatten each slightly with your hands.
  3. Layer each biscuit with a slice of roast beef and a slice of cheese. Fold biscuit dough around the filling and pinch edges to seal.
  4. Place sealed biscuits seam-side down on prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder and parsley.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Meanwhile, prepare au jus sauce by whisking packet mix with water in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened.
  8. Serve biscuits warm with au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • Use leftover roast beef for a homemade touch.
  • Can substitute mozzarella or cheddar cheese for a different flavor.
  • Serve as an appetizer, snack, or main dish with a side salad.
