Ingredients
- 8 croissants (small or medium-sized)
- 8 oz sliced ham
- 8 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 2 tbsp honey (optional)
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp poppy seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice croissants horizontally, keeping one side attached like a hinge.
- If using, mix Dijon mustard and honey and spread a thin layer inside each croissant.
- Layer ham and cheese inside each croissant, then close gently.
- Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with poppy seeds if desired.
- Place croissants on the baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and croissants are golden.
- Serve warm.
