Description

Warm, buttery croissants filled with savory ham and melty cheese, then baked until golden—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or an easy satisfying snack.

Ingredients

  • 8 croissants (small or medium-sized)
  • 8 oz sliced ham
  • 8 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 2 tbsp honey (optional)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice croissants horizontally, keeping one side attached like a hinge.
  3. If using, mix Dijon mustard and honey and spread a thin layer inside each croissant.
  4. Layer ham and cheese inside each croissant, then close gently.
  5. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with poppy seeds if desired.
  6. Place croissants on the baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and croissants are golden.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use smoked ham for extra flavor.
  • Try Gruyère or provolone for different cheese profiles.
  • Add sliced tomato or spinach inside for a fresh twist.
  • Great for meal prep—assemble ahead and bake when ready.
