Description

A savory and satisfying Beefy Garlic Butter Bowl loaded with juicy ground beef, fragrant garlic butter sauce, and tender rice — a quick one-pan comfort meal that’s bursting with umami flavor.

Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine or basmati rice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds, for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Drain any excess fat, then add butter and let it melt into the beef.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and chopped onion, cooking for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
  4. Add soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, chili flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2–3 minutes until everything is coated in the garlic butter sauce.
  5. Add the cooked rice directly into the skillet and toss to combine, allowing it to soak up the flavorful sauce.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Serve warm in bowls, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Use ground chicken, turkey, or tofu for a lighter version.
  • Add veggies like bell peppers, spinach, or broccoli for extra nutrition.
  • For extra richness, top with a fried egg or drizzle with sriracha mayo.
