Description

Cheesecake Stuffed Baked Apples are a warm, cozy dessert featuring tender baked apples filled with creamy cheesecake filling and topped with a crunchy graham cracker crumble.


Ingredients

  • 4 large apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Caramel sauce (for drizzling, optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Cut off the tops of the apples and carefully core them, scooping out the centers to create a well (leave the bottoms intact).
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, egg, sour cream, and cinnamon until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spoon cheesecake mixture into each hollowed apple until nearly full.
  5. In a small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and brown sugar to form a crumble.
  6. Sprinkle the crumble mixture on top of each filled apple.
  7. Place apples in prepared baking dish and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until apples are tender but not mushy.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired before serving.

Notes

  • Granny Smith apples can be used for a tart contrast to the sweet filling.
  • For extra flavor, add chopped pecans or walnuts to the crumble topping.
  • Best served warm with vanilla ice cream.
