Description
Soft buns stuffed with spicy shredded chicken, creamy cheese, and a hint of chili sauce, perfect as a snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 12 dinner rolls or burger buns
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, mozzarella, cheddar, mayonnaise, chili sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, and salt until well combined.
- Cut the tops off the buns and hollow out slightly to make space for filling.
- Stuff each bun generously with the chicken and cheese mixture.
- Place the buns on a baking tray, brush the tops with melted butter, and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until cheese is melted and buns are golden brown.
- Serve warm with extra chili sauce or ketchup.
Notes
- You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
- Adjust chili sauce and hot sauce according to your spice preference.
- These can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
