Description

Cheesy pizza pockets are golden, flaky pastries stuffed with gooey melted cheese, pizza sauce, and your favorite toppings—perfect for a quick snack or party treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (14 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for brushing)
  • Flour, for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Cut the dough into 6 equal rectangles (or circles if preferred).
  4. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce into the center of each piece of dough.
  5. Top with mozzarella, Parmesan, and a few slices of pepperoni if using.
  6. Fold the dough over to form a pocket and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
  7. Brush each pocket with the beaten egg and sprinkle with garlic powder and oregano.
  8. Place the pockets on the baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Brush lightly with olive oil for shine (optional) and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use any fillings you like—veggies, sausage, or cooked chicken all work well.
  • These can be frozen after baking and reheated in an oven or air fryer.
  • Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
