Description
Printable Chicken Buttered Noodles is a simple, comforting dish featuring tender chicken tossed with buttery egg noodles, garlic, and Parmesan — quick to make, family-friendly, and perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 300g egg noodles (or fettuccine)
- 2 large chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup reserved pasta water (optional)
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/4 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add chicken pieces and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the cooked noodles and chicken back into the pan. Toss well to coat everything in the butter and garlic.
- If the pasta seems dry, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Toss once more and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve warm with extra Parmesan and a sprinkle of black pepper on top.
Notes
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Use leftover rotisserie chicken to make this dish even faster.
- Pairs perfectly with a side salad or roasted vegetables.
