Description
Chocolate Chip Brownie Bombs are decadent bite-sized treats made with fudgy brownie pieces rolled around chocolate chip cookie dough and coated in a rich chocolate shell.
Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients required on package)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (heat treated)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 12 oz semisweet chocolate (for coating)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for coating)
Instructions
- Prepare and bake brownies according to package directions. Allow to cool completely, then crumble into small pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in milk and vanilla extract.
- Stir in flour, salt, and mini chocolate chips to make edible cookie dough.
- Scoop small portions of cookie dough and roll into bite-sized balls. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Take a portion of crumbled brownie and press it flat in your hand. Wrap it around a chilled cookie dough ball, rolling into a smooth ball.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate with oil in 30-second intervals until smooth.
- Dip each brownie bomb into melted chocolate and place on a parchment-lined tray.
- Chill in the refrigerator until set, about 30 minutes.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
- For safety, heat treat flour before using in cookie dough by microwaving for 1 minute or baking at 350°F for 5 minutes.
- Top with sprinkles or drizzle with white chocolate for decoration.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
