Description

Crispy Doritos-crusted chicken breasts stuffed with creamy cream cheese and smoky bacon, baked until golden and irresistibly crunchy.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Cut a pocket lengthwise into each chicken breast.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese and crumbled bacon until combined.
  4. Stuff each chicken breast evenly with the cream cheese mixture and secure with toothpicks if needed.
  5. In a shallow bowl, mix crushed Doritos with breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Dip stuffed chicken breasts into beaten egg, then coat thoroughly with Doritos mixture.
  7. Place chicken in prepared baking dish and lightly spray tops with oil.
  8. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until chicken is cooked through and coating is crispy.
  9. Rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use gloves when stuffing to keep filling neat.
  • Let chicken rest before cutting to prevent filling from leaking.
