Description
Crispy Doritos-crusted chicken breasts stuffed with creamy cream cheese and smoky bacon, baked until golden and irresistibly crunchy.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Cooking spray or oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Cut a pocket lengthwise into each chicken breast.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese and crumbled bacon until combined.
- Stuff each chicken breast evenly with the cream cheese mixture and secure with toothpicks if needed.
- In a shallow bowl, mix crushed Doritos with breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dip stuffed chicken breasts into beaten egg, then coat thoroughly with Doritos mixture.
- Place chicken in prepared baking dish and lightly spray tops with oil.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until chicken is cooked through and coating is crispy.
- Rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use gloves when stuffing to keep filling neat.
- Let chicken rest before cutting to prevent filling from leaking.
- Serve with a simple salad or roasted vegetables.
