Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken is a rich and comforting dish made with juicy chicken breasts simmered in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce, perfect for pairing with pasta, rice, or roasted vegetables.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken on both sides until golden brown and cooked through, about 6–7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce is smooth. Add red pepper flakes if using.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Simmer for 3–4 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot with pasta, rice, or vegetables.
Notes
- For extra richness, add a splash of white wine to the sauce.
- Can substitute chicken thighs for juicier meat.
- Great with fettuccine, mashed potatoes, or roasted broccoli.
