Description

Deliciously crispy chicken wraps filled with tender chicken, crunchy lettuce, and creamy sauce — perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or ranch dressing
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)


Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken strips in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight for extra tenderness).
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each chicken strip in the flour mixture, then roll in breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes for extra crunch.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 3–4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Warm tortillas in a dry pan or microwave.
  6. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and hot sauce (if using) to make the wrap sauce.
  7. Assemble wraps: spread sauce on each tortilla, layer with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and crispy chicken.
  8. Roll up tightly, folding the edges in to secure the filling.
  9. Serve immediately or toast lightly on a pan for extra crispness.
