Description
A cheesy, hearty burrito inspired by Taco Bell’s grilled cheese burrito, packed with seasoned beef, rice, nacho cheese, sour cream, and extra melted cheese on the outside for a crispy golden finish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded nacho blend cheese (for grilling outside)
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips (optional, for crunch)
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and water. Stir and simmer until thickened.
- Warm tortillas slightly to make them pliable.
- Assemble burritos by layering rice, seasoned beef, nacho cheese, sour cream, shredded cheddar, shredded mozzarella, and crushed tortilla chips inside each tortilla. Roll tightly into a burrito.
- Sprinkle shredded nacho blend cheese on a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place burrito seam side down on top of the cheese. Cook 2–3 minutes until cheese melts and forms a golden crust. Flip and repeat for the other side.
- Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use chicken or beans instead of beef for variation.
- Double layer the tortillas for extra sturdiness.
- Serve with salsa, guacamole, or extra nacho cheese for dipping.
