Description

A cheesy, hearty burrito inspired by Taco Bell’s grilled cheese burrito, packed with seasoned beef, rice, nacho cheese, sour cream, and extra melted cheese on the outside for a crispy golden finish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded nacho blend cheese (for grilling outside)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips (optional, for crunch)


Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning and water. Stir and simmer until thickened.
  3. Warm tortillas slightly to make them pliable.
  4. Assemble burritos by layering rice, seasoned beef, nacho cheese, sour cream, shredded cheddar, shredded mozzarella, and crushed tortilla chips inside each tortilla. Roll tightly into a burrito.
  5. Sprinkle shredded nacho blend cheese on a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place burrito seam side down on top of the cheese. Cook 2–3 minutes until cheese melts and forms a golden crust. Flip and repeat for the other side.
  6. Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use chicken or beans instead of beef for variation.
  • Double layer the tortillas for extra sturdiness.
  • Serve with salsa, guacamole, or extra nacho cheese for dipping.
