A festive holiday twist on classic tiramisu made with creamy eggnog mascarpone layers, espresso-soaked ladyfingers, and a dusting of nutmeg that’s guaranteed to impress at Christmas dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups eggnog
  • 8 oz (225 g) mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup strong brewed espresso or coffee, cooled
  • 2 tbsp sugar (for coffee)
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Extra nutmeg for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat mascarpone cheese with powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and nutmeg until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks.
  3. Gently fold whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Stir eggnog into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined and creamy.
  5. Mix sugar into cooled espresso.
  6. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are moist but not soggy.
  7. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.
  8. Spread half of the eggnog mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  9. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining cream.
  10. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  11. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle with nutmeg.
