A festive holiday twist on classic tiramisu made with creamy eggnog mascarpone layers, espresso-soaked ladyfingers, and a dusting of nutmeg that’s guaranteed to impress at Christmas dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups eggnog
- 8 oz (225 g) mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 cup strong brewed espresso or coffee, cooled
- 2 tbsp sugar (for coffee)
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- Cocoa powder for dusting
- Extra nutmeg for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, beat mascarpone cheese with powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and nutmeg until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks.
- Gently fold whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
- Stir eggnog into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined and creamy.
- Mix sugar into cooled espresso.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are moist but not soggy.
- Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.
- Spread half of the eggnog mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining cream.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle with nutmeg.
