Description

An ultra-rich, gooey brownie baked in a pie crust with a fudgy center and crackly top, perfect for chocolate lovers.


Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie crust (9-inch)
  • 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (40 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. Place pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
  3. Melt butter and let cool slightly.
  4. Whisk melted butter with sugar until glossy.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla extract; whisk until smooth.
  6. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips.
  8. Pour brownie batter into the prepared pie crust.
  9. Bake for 35–40 minutes until edges are set but center remains gooey.
  10. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Do not overbake to keep the center gooey.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
  • Cover loosely and store at room temperature for up to 2 days.
