An ultra-rich, gooey brownie baked in a pie crust with a fudgy center and crackly top, perfect for chocolate lovers.
Ingredients
- 1 unbaked pie crust (9-inch)
- 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup (40 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Place pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
- Melt butter and let cool slightly.
- Whisk melted butter with sugar until glossy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract; whisk until smooth.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour brownie batter into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until edges are set but center remains gooey.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Do not overbake to keep the center gooey.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
- Cover loosely and store at room temperature for up to 2 days.
