Description
A bold and satisfying grilled steak dinner featuring perfectly seasoned, juicy steaks served with classic sides for a full steakhouse-style extravaganza at home.
Ingredients
- 4 ribeye or sirloin steaks (8 oz / 225 g each)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme
- 4 cups baby potatoes, halved
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for potatoes)
- 1/2 tsp salt (for potatoes)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper (for potatoes)
- 1 cup steamed green beans or grilled vegetables
Instructions
- Remove steaks from refrigerator 30 minutes before grilling.
- Preheat grill to high heat.
- Rub steaks with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Grill steaks for 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting for desired doneness.
- During the last minute, add butter, garlic, and herbs to the grill or pan and baste steaks.
- Remove steaks and let rest for 5–10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, toss potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Roast potatoes at 220°C (425°F) for 30–35 minutes or grill in a grill basket until golden.
- Serve steaks with roasted potatoes and green beans or grilled vegetables.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer for accuracy (54°C / 130°F for medium-rare).
- Letting steak rest keeps it juicy.
- Finish with flaky sea salt for extra flavor.
