Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp hot honey
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
- 2 cups cooked white rice (or brown rice)
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup cucumber slices
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 7–8 minutes.
- Stir in garlic, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Cook for 2–3 minutes until flavors meld.
- Drizzle hot honey over the beef and stir to coat evenly. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
- Assemble bowls by adding a scoop of rice, topping with ground beef mixture, shredded carrots, cucumber slices, and green onions.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and extra hot honey if desired. Serve warm.
