Ingredients

  • 1 large Italian sub roll or baguette
  • 4 slices deli ham
  • 4 slices salami
  • 4 slices pepperoni
  • 2 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup banana peppers, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Slice the sub roll in half lengthwise and toast lightly if desired.
  2. Layer ham, salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese onto the bread.
  3. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Add shredded lettuce, red onion, and banana peppers to the dressing and toss to coat.
  5. Pile the grinder salad mixture on top of the meats and cheese.
  6. Close the sandwich, press gently, and slice in half before serving.
