Description
A low-carb twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, made with thinly sliced steak, peppers, onions, and melted cheese rolled up in deli meat or low-carb wraps.
Ingredients
- 450g thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 8 slices deli roast beef (or low-carb wraps)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sauté onions and bell peppers until softened and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.
- Add steak, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook until steak is browned and cooked through, about 3–4 minutes.
- Lay out deli roast beef slices (or wraps) and place a slice of provolone on each.
- Spoon steak and pepper mixture onto each slice, then roll up tightly.
- Secure with toothpicks if necessary and place in a baking dish.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Remove toothpicks, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add mushrooms to the filling.
- You can substitute provolone with mozzarella or cheddar.
- These roll-ups make a great keto-friendly lunch or appetizer.
