Description

A low-carb twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, made with thinly sliced steak, peppers, onions, and melted cheese rolled up in deli meat or low-carb wraps.

Ingredients

  • 450g thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 8 slices deli roast beef (or low-carb wraps)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sauté onions and bell peppers until softened and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add steak, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook until steak is browned and cooked through, about 3–4 minutes.
  4. Lay out deli roast beef slices (or wraps) and place a slice of provolone on each.
  5. Spoon steak and pepper mixture onto each slice, then roll up tightly.
  6. Secure with toothpicks if necessary and place in a baking dish.
  7. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes until cheese is melted.
  8. Remove toothpicks, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add mushrooms to the filling.
  • You can substitute provolone with mozzarella or cheddar.
  • These roll-ups make a great keto-friendly lunch or appetizer.
