Description

A rich and creamy baked chicken casserole loaded with cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar, and buttery crackers for a comforting, indulgent family favorite.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 sleeve buttery crackers, crushed
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a casserole dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, and cottage cheese until smooth.
  3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; stir to combine.
  4. Fold in shredded chicken and half of the cheddar cheese.
  5. Spread mixture evenly into the prepared casserole dish.
  6. Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese over the top.
  7. Mix crushed crackers with melted butter and sprinkle evenly over casserole.
  8. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

  • Rotisserie chicken works great for this recipe.
