Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup Nutella (warmed slightly for easier spreading)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp milk
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface.
- Spread a thin, even layer of Nutella over the entire sheet.
- Roll the pastry tightly into a log from the long side. Freeze for 10 minutes to firm slightly.
- Slice into 1-inch swirls and place flat on the baking sheet.
- Whisk egg with milk to make an egg wash; brush tops lightly.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
- Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- Add chopped hazelnuts for extra crunch.
- For a cinnamon-chocolate twist, sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the Nutella before rolling.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container; reheat in a toaster oven for best texture.
