Description
This Peppermint Swirl Fudge is a festive, creamy white chocolate fudge with beautiful red swirls and a refreshing peppermint flavor — a perfect holiday treat that’s easy to make and looks stunning on dessert tables.
Ingredients
- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 oz / 396g) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red gel food coloring
- 1/4 cup crushed candy canes (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract and vanilla extract.
- Pour about two-thirds of the mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Add a few drops of red gel food coloring to the remaining mixture and stir lightly — do not fully mix to maintain a swirled effect.
- Spoon the red fudge mixture on top of the white layer, then use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the colors together for a marbled look.
- Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top if desired, pressing them lightly into the fudge.
- Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours, or until set and firm.
- Lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper and cut into small squares.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
- For a smoother texture, use high-quality white chocolate chips or baking bars.
- Add a few drops of peppermint oil for a stronger flavor.
- Perfect for gifting — wrap pieces in parchment paper or add to treat boxes.
