Description
A safe-to-eat cookie dough made with rich red velvet flavor, creamy texture, and sweet chocolate chips for a decadent no-bake treat.
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread flour evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes to heat-treat it. Let cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add milk, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, red food coloring, and salt. Mix until smooth.
- Gradually add cooled flour, mixing until combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips and mini chocolate chips.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for a firmer texture.
Notes
- Do not skip heat-treating the flour to ensure it’s safe to eat.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
- Roll into small balls and freeze for bite-sized frozen treats.
