  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on, about 150g each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh dill or parsley, for garnish
  • Lemon slices, for decoration
  • Optional sides: mashed potatoes, asparagus, or roasted vegetables


Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon skin-side down and cook for 3–4 minutes until crispy.
  3. Flip the fillets and add butter, garlic, and honey (or maple syrup) to the pan.
  4. Baste the salmon continuously with the melted butter and garlic mixture for another 2–3 minutes until cooked through and golden.
  5. Drizzle with lemon juice for brightness.
  6. Plate beautifully: place salmon on a bed of mashed potatoes or alongside vibrant green asparagus, drizzle the pan sauce over the top, and garnish with fresh dill and lemon slices.
  7. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
