Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp capers, drained
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or white wine)
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a small skillet or saucepan, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant (do not let it brown).
  3. Stir in capers and cook for another 30 seconds to release their flavor.

  5. Add lemon juice and lemon zest, then season with salt and black pepper to taste.
