Savory and satisfying noodles tossed with tender chicken in a sticky garlic sauce, packed with bold Asian-inspired flavors and perfect for a quick weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, brown sugar, sesame oil, chili flakes, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Add minced garlic and sliced bell peppers and sauté for 1–2 minutes.
- Pour the prepared sauce into the pan and stir until it thickens slightly.
- Add the cooked noodles and toss until evenly coated with the sticky garlic sauce.
- Cook for another 1–2 minutes while tossing.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Use spaghetti as a substitute if egg noodles are unavailable.
- Add broccoli, snap peas, or carrots for extra vegetables.
- For more heat, increase chili flakes or add chili garlic sauce.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
