Description

Savory and satisfying noodles tossed with tender chicken in a sticky garlic sauce, packed with bold Asian-inspired flavors and perfect for a quick weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, brown sugar, sesame oil, chili flakes, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add sliced chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. Add minced garlic and sliced bell peppers and sauté for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Pour the prepared sauce into the pan and stir until it thickens slightly.
  7. Add the cooked noodles and toss until evenly coated with the sticky garlic sauce.
  8. Cook for another 1–2 minutes while tossing.
  9. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Use spaghetti as a substitute if egg noodles are unavailable.
  • Add broccoli, snap peas, or carrots for extra vegetables.
  • For more heat, increase chili flakes or add chili garlic sauce.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
