Juicy Thai sweet chili turkey burgers packed with bold sweet-heat flavor, perfect for a lighter yet satisfying weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, finely sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 burger buns or lettuce wraps
- Butter lettuce or cabbage slaw (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, sweet chili sauce, garlic, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix gently until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal burger patties.
- Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil it.
- Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side until fully cooked and golden.
- Toast burger buns if desired.
- Assemble burgers with patties and optional lettuce or slaw.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Do not overmix the turkey to keep burgers tender.
- Serve with extra sweet chili sauce for drizzling.
